GUIDE TO HELP IMPLEMENT THE 2021 TEXAS NATIONAL MOTTO LAW

Pray

  1. For the District Administrators, Teachers, Curriculum Writers, and Policy Makers;
  2. For all who will see and contemplate the words, "In God We Trust";
  3. That you will have favor as you approach the district or institution;
  4. For an intercessor group, financial supporters, and team members;
  5. For the funding. Many want to "do something", and this is a game changer.

Familiarize Yourself With The Law

  1. Be ready to explain the law.
  2. Have a copy of the law ready to email.
  3. Know some history about the National Motto

Read The Law

Research The School District, College, or University

  1. Learn what you can about the Superintendent or President.
  2. You shouldn't have to go before the School Board, but be prepared.
  3. Find out the number of schools in the ISD or departments in a University Campus.
  4. Collect names with positions, phone numbers, and emails.

Contact The Superintendent or President's Office First, And Others As Recommended

  1. Keep records of people you talk to and dates of your call.
  2. Ask for emails to follow up.
  3. Your approach will differ depending on the leadership and philosophy of the school, but according to the law they "must" accept and display the National Motto if donated.
  4. Make an appointment with the Superintendent or President, if you can, and present him or her with a beautifully framed National Motto purchased from Hobby Lobby.
  5. Finalize the number of buildings where the display will be posted with the admin or maintenance department. (Texas law states they must be displayed in each building; however, some leaders may want more for different wings. We have a Superintendent who wants a poster for each classroom and we were happy to comply.)

How to place your order for posters

Contact the American History and Heritage Foundation to Place an Order

  1. Visit American History and Heritage Foundation.
  2. Select "Contact" and reply with the number of posters you need with your Name, Shipping Address, Email, and Phone Number.
  3. They will reply with a shipping cost, so make sure your check or credit card payment covers posters at $.50 plus shipping/freight. AHHF is a nonprofit organization so it is appropriate and appreciated if you add a little more as a donation.
  4. After they reply with the shipping cost, return to the AHHF website, go to the "Donate" tab, and pay online or send a check to the address on the AHHF website.
  5. Posters should arrive within a week or two.

Place Your Order For The Frames

  1. Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert has an agreement with Hobby Lobby corporate, so you must notify him, senator.jason.rapert@gmail.com, and his Executive Director, Toni Rose, toni@anamericanspeaks.com to order discounted frames for the posters. These frames are not required but are a very good deal and are more permanent than laminating, which is another way to offer durable posters.
  2. Frames cost $1.50 each plus tax. (As of 10/14/21, you may now purchase your own frames as well.)
  3. In the email to Sen. Rapert and Toni include: The number of frames you need (in sets of 6), The address of the local Hobby Lobby store where you want to pick up the frames, Your contact information including email.
  4. You will receive an email as to when the delivery is expected. The store will also be notified.
  5. You will need to speak to a manager and let them know of the special arrangement and pricing we have with corporate. Take the email confirmation just in case.
  6. Pay and pick up the frames at your local store, but wait a day to give the store time to process the shipment.

Assemble The Posters Into The Drop-In Frames

  1. The frames have glass fronts and plastic backs and are very easy to load with the 11x17 posters.
  2. Add a sticker to the back (sample attached) with your contact information.
  3. Don't destroy the boxes for the frames, they are useful for transporting.
  4. Re-tape the box to close it, mark it for the destination district; and add a 1/2 page label to the outside of each box.

Deliver The Completed Posters To A Predetermined Location At Approved Time

Pray Often For Your Local Schools And Colleges

  1. For the school's leadership and good elected school boards and regents;
  2. For Christian Teachers and Students to be encouraged and emboldened;
  3. That unbelievers will wonder, ponder the words, pray, and trust in God;
  4. That God's educational enemies will lose their grip on our education system.
