preliminary steps

Pray

  1. For the District Administrators, Teachers, Curriculum Writers, and Policy Makers;
  2. For all who will see and contemplate the words, "In God We Trust";
  3. That you will have favor as you approach the district or institution;
  4. Find an intercessor group, financial supporters, and team members;
  5. For the funds needed.

Familiarize Yourself With The Law

  1. Be ready to explain the law.
  2. Have a copy of the law ready to email.
  3. Know some history about the National Motto

Read The Law

Research The School District, College, or University

  1. Learn what you can about the Superintendent or President.
  2. You shouldn't have to go before the School Board, but be prepared.
  3. Find out the number of schools in the ISD or departments in a University Campus.
  4. Learn names with positions, phone numbers, and emails.

Contact The Superintendent or President's Office First, and any Others

  1. Keep records of people you talk to and dates of your call.
  2. Ask for emails to follow up.
  3. Your approach will differ depending on the leadership and philosophy of the school, but according to the law they "must" accept and display the National Motto if donated.
  4. Make an appointment with the Superintendent or President, if you can.
  5. Finalize the number of buildings in your district or school with the admin or maintenance department. (Texas law states they must be displayed in each building; however, some leaders may want more for different wings. We have a Superintendent who wanted a poster for each classroom and we were happy to comply.)

How to order posters AND FRAMES

Contact American History and Heritage Foundation

1. Go to https://www.americanhistoryandheritage.org. Read their instructions carefully!

2. AHHF, Contact button, to place your order for posters and Hobby Lobby frames.

  • FOR 11 x 17 POSTERS: Include your ship to name and address, email, and how many posters you want. Make sure they know it's for Texas. Minimum order is 50 posters for a donation of $1.00 each which includes shipping and printing. You may order more than the minimum for $1.00 each.
  • FOR FRAMES: Specify the number of discounted Hobby Lobby frames, if any, you want, and include the address of your preferred, local Hobby Lobby store. You will pay your Hobby Lobby  store when the frames arrive. Currently the frames cost $1.50 each, plus tax. You must keep track of the delivery date yourself which Toni Rose will send you. (These are specific drop in frames that fit the posters perfectly. The frames have a built in hanger in the black plastic back and a glass cover. AHHF has an agreement with HL corporation to sell them to all their Texas stores specifically to help us implement Texas Education Code 1.004. You must go through AHHF to get the discount.)

3. AHHF, Donate button, Make your payment for the posters.

4. Posters should arrive at your home or location specified, and frames should arrive at your designated Hobby Lobby store within a a couple of weeks.

TIPS

  1. The frames have glass fronts and plastic backs and are very easy to load with the 11x17 posters. It's a joy to put them together with like minded friends and family.
  2. Add a sticker to the back (See Sample above) of each completed sign with a brief history of the National Motto, contact information, a summary of the law, etc.  I use an Avery half page label.  (If you call me and give me your address, I can mail you some  labels for the back of your signs.)
  3. Don't destroy the boxes the frames come in as they are useful for transporting. You will be asked to order frames in sets of 6. I have found some with broken glass, and my local Hobby Lobby store has been very accommodating and has replaced them from their retail stock.  Be sure and keep your receipt.
  4. Re-tape the box to close it, mark it for the destination district; and add a 1/2 page label to the outside of each box.
  5. Deliver the completed signs to a predetermined location during school hours.
  6. Some have arranged a small ceremony at the school when making the donations to the school.

THANKS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert has been instrumental and extremely kind to help bring God back into Texas schools, as it is through his Foundation we can order law compliant In God We Trust posters for such a small donation.  Furthermore, he obtained the agreement with Hobby Lobby Corporation to sell us frames at a fraction of retail cost.

Executive Director of AHHF, Toni Rose, toni@anamericanspeaks.com does an amazing, sacrificial job of keeping up with the Jason and us Texans. She expeditiously gets our poster orders printed and mailed, and contacts Hobby Lobby for us, while taking care of her own organization, state and family.

Many thanks go to Texas Senator Bryan Hughes and Texas Representative Tom Oliverson for procuring our wonderful National Motto Law.

And Thank You, Lord Jesus, for helping us all put our Father God's name back in public schools in Texas! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!

Pray Often For Your Local Schools And Colleges

  1. For the school's leadership and good elected school boards and regents;
  2. For Christian teachers and students to be encouraged and emboldened;
  3. That unbelievers will wonder, ponder the words, pray, and trust in God;
  4. That God's educational enemies will lose their grip on our education system.

"I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God."  - Luke 12:7 NIV
